Why Do Wisdom Teeth Often Cause Problems?<\/p>\r\n

Wisdom teeth normally erupt between the ages of 17 and 25. At this stage of life, the permanent dentition and jaws are already well formed. For this reason in particular, and due to the changing shape of our jaws, which have diminished in size as the human species has evolved, wisdom teeth are often problematic.<\/p>\r\nThe first thing to consider is their positioning at the ends of the dental arch, at the very back of the mouth. This makes their daily cleaning much more complex than for the rest of the dentition. Secondly, due to a lack of jaw space, these third molars often erupt irregularly. They may grow in the wrong direction, harming the other teeth. They may also remain fully embedded in the jaw beneath the gum tissue (impacted teeth), or erupt only partially (semi-in impacted teeth). As we shall see, these combined factors can lead to a variety of oral health problems.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n
