Removable and Fixed Prosthetics on Implants
Dentures are the ideal solution for replacing a large number of missing teeth. The result is even more satisfying when the prosthesis is placed on implants. This enhances masticatory capabilities while protecting oral structures. At Le Dentiste, we offer a range of implant-supported prostheses, both removable and fixed, to suit your needs.
Implant-Dupported Dentures: the Perfect Choice
Dentures are imitations of teeth and gums, usually made of acrylic resin.
In their traditional form, partial or complete dentures are entirely removable, since they have no anchorage. For this reason, they are less stable. Implant-supported prostheses, on the other hand, help to overcome this instability.

The Most Aesthetic and Comfortable Device
Implant-supported dentures are held in place by anchors attached to implants (artificial tooth roots). This gives them a better fit. As a result, the appliance is more aesthetically pleasing and comfortable, and there's no risk of it rattling or shifting inelegantly at any time. In addition to enhancing the prosthesis' chewing capabilities, implants help maintain the jawbone structure. Their presence stimulates bone that might otherwise gradually resorb. These prostheses can be partial (to replace a limited number of teeth) or complete (to replace the entire dentition of a jaw).
Special Features of Implant-Supported Removable and Fixed Prosthesis
- Implant-Supported Removable Prosthesis: The anchors of an implant-supported removable prosthesis are like snap fasteners. As a result, the prosthesis remains stable in the mouth, but can be removed for cleaning and soaking overnight. This type of model requires 2 to 4 supporting implants and is mainly suitable for the lower jaw. Mini-implants (smaller and easier to install) can be used when the situation allows.
- Fixed Implant-Supported Prosthesis: Permanently fixed to implants. There are different models and anchorages (bar, bridge) to adapt to the jaw's physiognomy. A variable number of implants, generally between 4 and 6, are required to hold it in place. Fixed implant-supported prostheses are more stable and better fitted than removable ones. They are the closest to the feel of natural teeth.
