Program launched in May 2024

This program, launched in May 2024, aims to support Canadians without private dental insurance, whose annual family income does not exceed $90,000. Thanks to this initiative, our eligible patients can now benefit from partial coverage of their dental expenses, enabling them to significantly reduce their out-of-pocket expenses. Whether you're a loyal patient or looking for a clinic offering this service, we look forward to welcoming you.

How to Book an Appointment?

When you call to book an appointment at one of our clinics, don't forget to mention your coverage under the Canadian Dental Care Plan. One of our secretaries will be happy to guide you through the steps involved in making an appointment and paying for your care. We'll also be happy to answer any questions you may have about our fees and CDHA coverage.

*** The information provided here is current as of May 2024, when the program was launched. It is your responsibility to verify that it has not changed since then.

INFORMATION ON THE CANADIAN DENTAL CARE PLAN

This new public dental plan will be available to all eligible Canadians in 2025. The program will be rolled out in several phases. Eventually, those eligible (see information below) will only have to pay a portion of their dental care costs, with the remainder reimbursed by the CDDN. The percentage reimbursed by the government will vary according to your annual family income.

To take advantage of this public insurance, you must first submit an application. A letter will normally be sent to those eligible during the first phases of the program's roll-out. An insurance card and welcome kit will be sent to you once the application has been made and accepted. Thereafter, you won't have to make any claims: when you pay for your dental care, we'll process the claim directly with Sun Life, which acts as the service provider for the DDSR. All you have to do is pay the balance of the costs, i.e. the portion not covered by the public plan.

If you have any further questions, or would like to learn more about the procedures in place at our clinic, please contact us. Our reception staff will be happy to answer your specific questions.

Applying for the Canadian Dental Care Plan

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Canadian resident
  • Net annual family income of less than $90,000
  • Not have access to private dental insurance

Online application : https://www.canada.ca/fr/services/prestations/dentaire/regime-soins-dentaires/demande.html#demande-ligne

Deployment Phases

  • People over 65 can apply now.
  • People with a valid certificate for the disability tax credit and people under 18 will be able to apply as of June 2024.
  • The entire population will be able to apply as of 2025, in new phases of deployment.

Amounts Covered and Payments

Even if your coverage is 100%, you'll still have to pay a fee, since the RCSD fee schedule is not equivalent to the Ordre des dentistes du Québec fee schedule on which we base our prices. You will then have to pay the difference between the actual treatment costs and the amount reimbursed.

At the time of your dental treatment, we will proceed directly to the reimbursement request with the RCSD and the answer will be immediately available. You will then have to pay the remaining amount, according to our usual payment terms.

Do you have too many treatments FOR YOUR BUDGET?

Extensive treatments can often be carried out in stages over several months or even years. The important thing is to plan these stages carefully to avoid deterioration of your teeth. Talk to your dentist, who is best placed to advise you.
